Last but not Least

Ah, 25th, the final day of my attachment...today i woke up earlier than usual. after some thoughts, i decided to go get them some lipton tea bags and biscuits as token of appretiation. another thing about waking up early is that i think a good day starts when u wake up early...i think....

My 1st doubt was if any supermarkets like NTUC/Shop N Save were open at this hour....but i still tried my luck and hey, Sheng Shiong is open! The place is still kinda in a mess , all the unpacking...( it's always quite messy but now worse) plus it's flooded wiht water...i bought what i wanted, checking the expiry dates and whether if it's Halal before heading to get lunch at my market..this time i bought Nasi Lemak...ahah as some form to commemorade my last day? hahahah

Looking at the watch's face, i knew i had more than enough time, which means i can do things at my pace....ahhh great day to start with, including an mrt that ain't too crammed....it was drizzling slightly by then. and when i reached there i had a conversation with this china researcher in the AVA labs based at St John's ...ahha i found out i am having probs converting some eng terms to chi....

anyway the tables ad chairs of the boat were mostly wet, and neither do i have a choice. I started by browsing thru Today, and b4 i can finish i already reached there....hmm saw the usual half beaks...today's water transparency is 3.5m...good day it is....

well the usual again, but before i finish sweeping the hauling boat came...ms wee tagged along to look at the operations...this time they changing the net for C1...cobias net. Last week that hauler broke so...yar...at C1 they were untying everything and all...i was juz looking ahhah....the scuba divers removed the weights and secured the new net to teh old one, and prepares to change. ahha that uncle damm lol coz i asked him how u all change, then he say "shirt dirty must change" in chinese...lol

some cobiad trapped at the old net but after awhile they managed to shift it back....he was telling me the old net sometimes u can find sea horse and starfish , and this made me astonished....wow really cool. i only see captivated seahorses and all...ahhaha cool! today rocks man...as the haul up that heavy net, flower crabs, whatever crabs big and small, fish(kelong aka the perch) and all came pouring out....shiok the net was brimming wiht life...i took a pail and collecte anything i could; small groupers/goby, kelong, crabs, but still no sea horse...even loads of shrimps wiht eggs! nice...well the net was rather long, so i classified it into 3 layers; top whihc was mostly long hair mosses, middle wiht some algae growht and corals and all, bottom where life is thriving so well the net's holes were covered. wafter arranging the net into the boat i found a seahorse at the mid portion while they were loading it on the boat. but i think it;'s too late....it's true that we were the ones that gave them life, but that doesn't give us the right to take away thier lives....hmm but oh well still got the new net and C2....

after all the complications and shifting the old net up step by step, everything was cleared. then we headed back wiht a pail full of dead perch, living crabs got one v chio...orange and black crab...lol they were saying all nice to eat. when loading the net back to the kelong, i tried to find more fishes but to no avail...when everything setelled down i found a dead leatherjacket...sad case probably kena stepped on...i oso found some brittlestars....brittled too, but still can identify ahhaha

then we had lunch and they went off while i continue to find more stuff, hoping to find more survivors...i threw back to the sea a few crabs, took photo of a spider crab and they went off in the hauler boat...actually wanted to go back together but aiya forget it...i want to stay here abit longer....well i finished reading Today and felt too tired to complete Sudoku nor my HW, so i took a nap, and i was woken up by them. that means time to go....i packed up everything and went back to bathe

okay i realised the toilet doors couldnt be locked, so i stuffed my bottle at the corner to prevent anyone to enter, but i tried and i still can open the door....
"aiya dun care lar faster bathe can liao. dun think. plus this time i think the mother and her kids prob went back liao" i thought about it and quickly got things over and done wiht.

then i decide to take a hike to the Hatchery just up the hill....since i had more than an hour before the boat arrives...ahhh it's like hking thru bukit timah...termites, ants, the cicada buzzing and brids chiping....i went quite deep in and found the aquaculture centre, but i dun think i'm su[pose to walk around there so i went off to anotehr route...this route was weird. the top on was overed wiht overgrowth, the bottom one was filled wiht termites, ants and i doubt i can pass...it's like i'm not suppose to got there...eerie feeling...well curiosity kills the cat, so i took a few steps forward, looked around, then went back...dun want to walk into the haunted bungalows...

well today's water was great, i can see the sargassum erected high from the bottom to the top of the sea....like a forest in water....
i saw this really beautiful halfbeak about 7-8"...then after that a shoal of wrasses swimming among the forest of sargassum....its waht i like so much about nature. it's someting that human can never replace, nor replicate an exact copy of it....(dun count some pro aquarium shops and underwater world....)the water is neither dirty not clear, and it;s this flaws that make it looks perfect. ( lol contradictory statement...)

i slept thru the whole journey and on my way to the MRT station i met this NYJC PE teacher! his facil expression tells me "eh i seem to know this guy" and i knew who he was after some thoughts....ahha nice person....small world....we chatted abit and then i went to eunos instead to find that medication for my BGK, but i realise i dun have $$$...it's like...$12 plus...zzz...well after consulting with the assistant in the LFS i went off back home...walking...i thought eunos was rather near, but....zzz....at least i had the free brochures/booklets about fish keeping to entertain me. by then i reach home it was 7...the skies was filled wiht streaks of REDclouds....wah with the blend of the blue sky....perfect way to end my day....

then i went back sweaty, tired and noticed my water for medication was used to change the watre of my community tank...i was damm angry and exploded. i was trying to save my fish and u had to do this to me? SO what if it's infected wiht a virus? cant u give it a chance to survive? i'm already finding ways to cure it, but u all gave up hopes on it? preposterous! i spent $8 on it, it's my money, my fish, why do u have to bother about it?!
i sotrmed off to soak my clothes and immediately after that i realise there's no need to do taht...my maid juz merely tried to help plus she doesnt know what's the water specially for....well it's not worhty for something this small to ruin my great day...rahter it's this problem that i have to overcome to make my day even better! after watching tv and all i cooled down alot and well i smiled and i think everyone got things over....Hahhaha

Life is never perfect. It's the ups and downs that makes it interesting. The challenge is to overcome the "downs" and u'll be able to see the beauty of Life itself. That, is the perfection of life.

today was okay...woke up sleepy coz waited for my parents to return from their freind's wedding dinner...lol my mum brought back 6 keychains...zzz

anyway i bought vegetarian food today coz i v sian of other food. today was rahter sunny...and i expected i would need to apply more sun tan lotion. well the usual again dun want to reiterate. but this time, i brought my tutorial and calculator!!! muahahah really nothing to do there, plus no sweeping =( so i do till lunch, and lef the last qn hanging. after eating i finally went ou to sea to help with some solar panel( photovolvic plate) ahah that chinese diver damm lol one. he keep asking me touch exposed wire and try if i tio shock. nothing! then he say okay u leg go inside water? i try and nothing! lol...then the other larger panel he still ask me remove my rubber shoes and touch and still? lol ahhhaah LAME

anyway this time i went back on the other boat to keppel habour( that means i went back early! wheeeee) and i was sooo sleepy i slept on the boat....after awhile i was woken up by the chao dah smell of my skin...basket the SUN!!!! ARGHHHH i'm already chao dah and still want to peng me....zzzz

anyway at the habour that uncle asked me " u know what fish is this?" as he pointed towards this 3 spotted fish, about 5-6"...quite big...then i say dunno. he replied archer fish...i was like really? oh yar hor...after taking a closer look...i even rememebered thier scientific name. anyway went to bathe, at the GENTS....then went off.

this time i almost went the wrong way...at the 2 way junction i stopped and wondered if i was going the correct way....uphill? or down? i went up initally, after seeing the 1st car moving that way, but then i saw someone cycling down...i have no idea where i'm going. then i decide to follow the cyclist, but then after awhile i wanted to change my mind.
" What the heck lar..i already walked so far if i turn back abit....nvm juz walk to somewhere...i'll juz ask that worker in front then...."
well after hearing that i'm on the rite track i felt relieved. phew....went back the usual way and went to some LFS to get some fish med for my BGK but...to no avail...zzz. hope it recovers soon.

well that's all...tmr is my last day....great experience, though i have nothing to write for my report...i'll have to talk crap....zzzz

oh and another thing...need to post the names of the fishes b4 i cannot make my blog more fanciful....that 3 ft fish taht they rear...is cobia...

wah another lobster day....at least this time i know i'm never really late...so i wasnt in such a hurry, but my bloody MP3 player is making me agitated....no music, plus it keeps jamming.....ARGHHHH

well at there, after the nite's rain one boat sank....completely submerged in the waters....spoilt...when i was waiting for them to remove water in the other boat, i saw this wolf spider caryying an egcase....really nice...i dun see them in s'pore ahahah...anyway i was doing the usual; sweeping, Today, sleeping. but worse, i realise i brought my math notes, but no calculator and tutorial! like...crap...lol. then slept twice coz i was really sleepy, thanks to my sis...really nothing much today either....juz helped to move this heavy net...

after taht went back st john island to abthe and well, that guy was around so i went to the female's instead. On our way to the toilet we met some pple ( a mother with 2 daughters of age probably 5-10) who are fishing and my friend greeted her. anyway just after i bathed i was wondering if those kids playing wiht the sand just now would pay a visit to this toilet...i was like...well at least i closed the door. and what do you know, i shouldnt have said too much....

luckily i hid myself in the toilet and they were asking whether anyone inside, and i said yes reluctantly, hoping they would leave, but no. the kid went to wash her legs, prbably at the shower next door while i hid in the next cubicle...waiting..waiting for them to go. after that i closed the door, grabbed my towel, changed and went off...i got a feeling that kid would know it;s me inside.
1stly, my bag, sandles and hat was outside. there's no coincidence for another person to have all these on the same day, same island. 2ndly, i replied them. well i'm guy wiht a deep voice, so...excellent...they still said okay....lol...

then when i left i saw that kid and her sister wiht her mum fishing...immediately recognising my belongings, that kid went to tell her sis.
"Jie Jie, come i tell u something..." then she wispered into her sis's ears...i was damm embarassed and tried to keep my cool and went to quickly to the habour....my mind was driving me crazy...

what if she tells her mum and i get lectured? if this comes out into the media complaining privacy in restrooms and all, i'm doomed for LIFE.....like what can i say to defend myself against thier charges? well true enough it's my friend who asked me go there bathe, but i could hvae said no. it's like we both wanted our own privacy and space during bathing, but i oso know it doesnt give me the excuse to use the female toilet...like oh no how!??!?! i'm balck listed for life!!!!

i tried resorting to music to calm myself down but the mp3 player is....@#$%^....after sometime i cooled down, take a nap and okay i'm feeling better....anyway i was told that my attendance was not required at the magic meeting for cosplay stuff...coz by the time i reach s'pore it's probably 6:45-7 plus....wasted my effort to bring my sleeveless shirt, red belt and all...zzz

okay anyway went back home, bought the mesh i wanted for my planted tank but realised i will have some rpobs...aiya i'll take more pics....plus i'm finding the pics of the fishes i caught/know....tamban, kobia, siakap(sea bass) and all....zzz...for some reason my blog's arrangement is cock-ed up...must edit more things again

okay the fancy monday was to show it's not monday blues, but rather an okay one.
i was...kinda late coz i slept late. had ot eat the Da Zha Xie( hairy crab) my dad's friend brought from him from china. these crabs are irritating....they are small and expensive...so that emans i'll ahve to try to eat every single part of it...it;s not the hairs that are the problem...anyway eat till 1130 and went to sleep, so woke up kinda late

this time i rememebred to bring everything as i posted a reminder on my hp, but i forgotten all about lunch as i was rushing to the train station. well looks like i ahve to buy there..i was really worried that i miss the train, but turns out i reached there juz in time to slack awhile...but i travelle in silence all the while...my mp3 player keep jamming...

well 1st thing there was to remove the nets...okay skip the sweeping floor part. it's the 1st thing i really do there after the rain, since the skies are rahter cloudy.... hahaha. wore the golves and long sleeved shirt to prevent getting chao dah and injured by FIRE PLANT...all the oil stained the yellow long sleeved shirt, and i cant remove it...oh well nvm. while they dismanteled the cage and transported wood to and fro the kelong, i was walking along the cage looking at the "drain" that was brimmig with life. all the moss, algae attracted a beautiful juvinile batfish and loads of crabs, whihc i had a great time ka jiaoing them and trying to examine them. i picked up a small fish that probably fell off from the net and landed on the platform....it's not the ones i usually catch but well i released it after that...i was busy playing wiht the crabs...they ran and i tried to catch them. lol i spotted a total of 3-4 different species of crabs...very well camoflaged into their environment....took some pics will upload sometime...

well after a LONG while we went back and i was already damm tired and hungry. after lunch i went to look at the barrels used for buoyancy of the platform. coz its exposed to the sea water for a long time, even corals grew on it. i took some pics too really nice. then i saw a mussle and removed it, while continuing to explore the other barrels...the stench is rather..."sea-like" and there are "sea cockroaches" lol...they juz look redder than the ones at home....

anyway found some small crabs, DOA. then i oos found this pregnant female ( DUH) crab...all that tasty orange eggs!!!! but she was very defensive...despite my attempt to pull her out. i gave up in the end as i kinda saw the "family"...the one that i pulled out is in a small container with water, and dead tamban(some fish that they catch) and another crab....lol...alias saw me looking at the barrels and shoed me which one is the fire plant, and by applying saliva to the wounds will be better. he also said the mussle here is edible but not nice. the ones at changi better....ahah i really respect him alot. he's already 50+, still fit and better stamina than me, knows so much...amazing....

well that's mroe or less...other than the usual TOday, Sudoku, HW....went to bathe and realise i forgotten all about my soap when i got home. ate more crabs for dinner...aiya shoudl be like that lar from my memory...lol CRABBY DAY

okay today is completely crap...too many crabs yesterday and today i got the bad luck.....it was raining and i got up later than ever....i reached the mrt at 0805 and was really anxious....will i miss the boat? swim there? ahhaha crap....i was in such a hurry that i forgotten to get lunch AGAIN.....i was hoping that my soap and shampoo was still there...

anyway luckilty reached there at the nick of time and all the while it was RAINING....the usual sweep, but this time it's futile attempts of sweeping. Coz it;s raining, despite the fact that the rain is rather small. pple are playing checkers, lim kopi, fishing in the rain, me? usual HW, Today, Sudoku, but this time add senseless Drawing and walking aimlessly in circles around the kelong....lol....by tthe time i swept the floor of one side the otherr side was flooded....so i was rather "BUSY" ....wth...i have no idea how to write my report....i think i need to ask ms wee to let me go have a wlak at the labs AT st john island itself...they ahve a hatchery there lar....basket....

turns out it was so boring i went to sleep, woke up and realise i stilll had loads of time!!!! MISERABLE!! it's bloody COLD...i'm like...dying...die from freezing, cancer( almost everyone smokes there), boredom and misery....

went back to check if the soap was there but well too late....but anyway i didn;t really dirty myself, so i cleaned myself alittle, then wore 2 shirts coz it's rellly cold...1st time wearing 2 clothes in s'pore....i can't wait to reach home and enjoy....hiaz.....zzz well that;'s all....

wah forgotten to post fri's "adventure" and now i forgotten all about it!!!! okay i have to DOTA, so i'll do this really fast.

okay that day abit drizzling but still okay. i bought vegetarian food today...for some reason. maybe coz i've not eaten vege for a few days and i feel weird, or it;'s juz that i killed too many fishes and felt guilty....

anyway reach there did notihg muhc..i was reading TOday for 2-3 times, playing Sudoku 3 different ones...rally get's u hooked onto it....then did one qn of phy, then looked at Alias make the nets....he's really great....the technique of this skill isn't rally passed down to the next generation...it's sacred....anyway he "fused" one string into a loop without knots...it's really nice...to me it;s a from of art, and i find it unique...

anyway then at 1st i thought it'll rain, wiht the dark clouds blocking a large portion of the sun's glare, it formed a very..."holy" look....ahhah v scenic with the birds soaring, the lush green forests on the island with the waves refelcting the light to u....it's perfect....

anyway didn't even got to fish and sleep, but all i did was eat, look at them do the new nets, read Today. then when the other boat used to haul the nets came, the hauling-thing's pipe burst, so it's pressure is lost and cannot be operated any longer....lol so what too do? nothing!!!! they called up the base to inform them and well, after sometime i took that boat back to keppel harbour hahaha...slack day!

on the boat alias was telling me about speaking malay, the haunted bungalows of st john islad, then about his past in JB and i had a great time sharing ideas with him. after awhile not much things to say plus i too tired so slept....

reached there, bathed and got a free ride to the bus stop...remined me of me going to the church wiht my good friend clarence for free tution of vectors...then when i went across the road to take bus the uncle say worng direction! wth....so i went bak and well, took 10 and got back.

then it started drizzling....luckily i was already at TK bus stop....so i headed to this fish shop but it was closed, then ni passed by this piano store...really nice the uncle there. i asked him about the price of basic piano and all...$950 ++....not bad lar...it feels nice going to visit these shops...

anyway after that it started pouring and i went to wait for the rain to stop before going back home....nothing much lar that's all

okay then yesterday i went to collect my lighting for my fish...comes wiht free coolling fan and moss!!! alrite the guy was okay lar...but i can already see he probaly DIY his light and sell me $30....basket...but the 1st time i saw him was like wah he's some shuai ge! i seldom say anything about anyone, esp guys....he from JB and i wnated to bargain but aiya, he from JB drive here, i form paya lebar go kranji....whatever lar...i never liked bargaining or do something i feel will cheat someone else. i make a really lousy, noob salesman. i gave him my $50, his gf gave me $20 then i said" okay, thanks. got anything i find u lar. " smiled and he say yar okay.

then i realise i sound like...some loan shark thingy...anything happen he's house will be on fire...hahah then went to C328( LFS) and well, all the same lar....no diff wasted my time...went back early and waited for dad to arrive. I reached home and started doing the lights thihng..circuits everywhere...but somehow i knew what do do despite knowing nothing about electronics.must be in the genes

anyway i found some stuff that my dad kept in the store room, brought out all the screwdrivers; big, small, u name it, u got it. coz the lights were attached ot each other, and my 2 ft tank din't have sufficent space to put them on. started doing all the wiring...the 1st one was okay. the next one needed a switch, another...conenction thing and some crappy stuff. went to brainstorm for any useless switches in my house and found 2 alternatives- one lamp not frequently used in my sis room, the other in the store room. the one in my sis room can be easily connected but well, rahter use somehing that is.."spoilt" but after taking out all the screws i realise that lamp had a ballast connected to the rahter confuing switch....instead of simply 1 wire it had 2...
ballast? what ballast? i looked for the dict but doesnt give me any electrical definition, so i wnt online and abracadabra! i removed the ballast and well, i simply cut, screw, plug and play. at 1st it was okay, then wen i wanted to switch it off, ZAP! i got shocked,but luckily it's those minor ones..then i immediately knew what was wrong..the wires soldered into the swtich was exposed...zzz

i went to find a shoe box, but holes for the wried ans switch, dumped everything and start the current flowing! okay at 1st it still lit up. next to switch of. now i'm sure i wont get shocked, and i was successful, but not for long. my habit of pressing buttons cause me to re-test it and well, i short circuited the whole 2nd storey....lol....i switched off everything i know, disconnected the lamp, went to turn the main switch at the power supply box back on, then headed back to business...

then my mum told me to stop and said it was too dangerous. but hey, newton tired everything to find out what material was suitable for the lamps, Benjamin Franklin promoted his investigations of electricity and theories through the famous, though extremely dangerous, experiment of flying a kite during a thunderstorm.

anyway went to pack things, then did some cosplay thingy....zzz...for viewer's info i;m cosplaying Kurogane......

well thur....today i woke up and it's raining
like this cat, i'm kinda like...sian...hate to start my day with rain. But well looking on the BRIGHT side, there's no sun! and judging by the clouds i believe it'll rain for sometime, whihc means no more BURNING!!!! Anyway i kinda woke up late coz my sis stayed in the com room aka my bedroom till v late...basket make me share the fan and suffer in the heat...my sweat glands are already destroyed from yesterday's burning...so again i had to rush. but thinking that i'll probably be darn early again i tried to slow down my pace, yet my mind keep telling me to chiong....zzz

this time i bought chiken rice instead....phew...but the uncle was like taking his own sweet time while i bitterly wait for my lunch to be done. "wah ka kin ar...chiong!!! late liao!" these words kept buzzing around me but still, i manage to convince myself to take my time. afterall i reached there the baot was still at sea...basket....i started applying sunblock even knwoing i'm wearing long sleeve shirt, and it's drizzling....then before i knew it time to board the boat.
the usual, i read Today that i grabbed while on my way to MRT, and took a short nap...

this time water transparency is 1.5 m...like wth....pathethic no fish no nothing at the harbour....but i found something to do when i reach the kelong; sweep away the water that flood the place. whee....what seemed to be an endless supply of water juz cannot be removed despite sweeping soooooooo many times...made me feel really lethargic...then it was time to go transfer the fishes to the new net...

this time got some officiers from the island reseach centre to collect some eggs and stuff i guess....no sun still so everything was great. We shifted marbled groupers, spotted groupers and sea bass( aust and s'pore) to their new nets....it's was quite a cool thing....and the fishes are really...huge...lifting them in a net was already tiresome....then the empty net cage had some batfish so i caught them up and put into a pail...this guy wanted to bring back and keep...then Mr Chua, who seems to be the overall IC, noticed this conspicuous looking fisih...it blended in perfectly into the sargasses floating around it....i took sometime to even notice that leatherjacket fish....really cool 1st time seeing something like that....Discovery channel seem to neglect this fella....

well the nets are covered with moss, algae, and all sorts...brimming wiht life...i removed another flower crab from the net and released. but that's besides the point. it's that the net was so "dirty" that my gloves, sleeves and shorts were kinda...dirtied too....zzz but whatever. some guy got stinged by that fire plant....lol...not being sadistic but it';s the FIRE plant that makes me laugh....

anyway went back and had lunch ....was really hungry....then thye slack, i went to fish...muahah this time i brought my net and some plastic bag...but well those big fish i caught died really fast..i released most of'em....i broken my record for getting 4 fish in one single cast!!!! wheee....
anyway then caught some small ones...the "croaking" one and realised it really produce noises! this big one i caught was like...sending some morse code....weird...somehow the more i fish the...more sad i become....i stopped after sometime though....got 4 kelong fish and one tambang(the very common n easily caught type) and some other really cool one...spotted wiht a green back....a true beauty....but all die in the end... my bro was saying he;s dissapointed in me for destorying the ecosystem...hiaz it's already destroyed....but i think catch and release seems more...fun...

well after that went back and washed up.Since the guy wasnt there i went to the gents instead. well toilets serve the same purpose, but now i know whats the diff. male showers are shared while female ones are separated...so that makes the man's one more spacious, provided the whole toilet is only used my one person...

anyway after taht waited at the jetty and saw another sea urchin....hmm the water transparency was really pathethic but got better after awhile....hardly see any fishes in the water though....well got back and bought milk tea and ice blend for my maid....wiht a purpose...muahaha. coz last week when i walked past that shop i noticed this...not bad lookig girl working there...the last time i bought was some..."fat" lady serving me...not that i'm discriminating against fat pple. well yest went there but no luck, today she's there, but there's always this guy...i think the shop owner as they seem to rent 1/2 the HP shop to them....lol....so didnt really get to tlak or anything, juz exchanged glances....then the toehr lady came again...zzz...but i left and when my maid drank she was saying wah too sweet...lol then i said made wiht love wad...and maybe she thinks i'm sweet....muahha

okay monday blues? nope, for me at least.i was looking forward to this day, 14/11. I'm fionally going to my attachment programme at St John island...cool i was hoping to catch fishes for sample and hopefully kop("steal") some to cook/keep....my bro made me abit sian by telling me that his friend take water samples....zzz

anyway i walked in a circle to "discover" my way to the MND complex from tanjong pagar mrt....luckily my instincts told me i should walk in circles....when i got there i'm already sweating all over. After that Ms wee had a talk with me about all these stuff why i join, do i know how to swim blah blah....i was so pai say when i answered "wrongly"....coz she asked what u think is aquaculture...i wanted to say something about fishes but i trusted my bro too much...lol water sample....zzzz...anyway there's another guy called malcom, grad from Queensland university of the course Marine Biology....my dream come true! heard that James Cook Uni better....anyway he was saying the job vacancy in Spore for these things is very limited....so i'm kinda qwerty....happy and puzzled...we then went to get lunch and headed to some pier, waited for the rain to stop to load fish pellets then move on the the offshore farm...

well that place is juz a kelong....lol not what i expected, but it's not something i dislike either....they explain to us the things, intro us to pple here and there, got assigned life jackets and gloves...well all malay fishermen about age 30-50+ working and 2 chinese divers annd Mr Chee the IC.They're all very friendly, esp the fishermen. they made me feel like i'm talking to friends despite some problems communitcating.i know some malay, they know some eng, so well it's rahter okay... i can see shoals of small fishes everywhere and some sea eagles soaring in the skyit's like...really cool....i always wanted to live in a kampong life...out of all the hustle and bustle of the city life....anyway we ate our lunch before heading to the rearing area....hmm they feed them pellets....fish like red snapper, sea bass and some super big 3ft fish....i thought it was shark but realised they're juz some really BIG fish in a feeding frenzy....at the platforms we had to remove all sorts of fallen braches to prevent them from spoiling the net....then between the sargasses got this cool juvinilt batfish and some crabs....

went back and slakced around. After ms wee left then they started fishing ahhaha....
" ms wee here cannot fish. come here talk talk talk...mr chee okay." they were saying all the things they do and what i need to take note of....after that we took the fishing boat to the rocky shore of st john island then climbed up the slippery slope. then thye headed to bathe but i realised i only brought change of clothes and a towel but no soap, so i juz washed myself and realised i'm super early and i waited for the boat to arrive. well i walked around and ka jiao some crabs and tried catching them but well no place to keep at home so....zzz anyway when i wlaked ot the harbour i saw corals and all for at least....2-3 metres deep! loads of shoals of fish and some squids too! u dun get to see that in s'pore longkangs or whatever harbour.....my bro mentioned that he went there 5 years ago and the sea was so clear u could see the fish getting hooked by the bait, but now....land reclamation and all is lost....hiaz even the fishermen were saying last time lobster, fish and sotong everywhere, now hard to find....hiaz....
for the benefit of mankind we have neglected what we use to have and failed ot cherish and understand what means most to us....
anyway arrived at clifford pier and followed the crowd and found myself at a rather familiar place, raffles MRT station....went back hungry and tired.....zzzzz

TUE
okay coz i was suppose to do this today(wed) but coz of some stupid error dunno what i typed for the html cause my post to be deleted....despite the recover post thingy it only recovered 3/4....the rest all gone down the drain...@#$%^...i was like....okay forget it...so the one above wasnt original....okay now i shall faster finsih up "this" day one...
i kinda woke up late coz i didn;t have my HP aka alarm set, but thanks to my sis i got up incidentally...well i was told to meet at the pier at 0815...it leaves the harbour at 0830 SHARP....the words rang in my head like a broken record.....
" got one guy came 0833, ran after the boat but still...too late...." mr chee and co. was saying....

anyway i rushed and rushed while constantly reminding myself what i brought.... turns out hey, i'm too darn early! i even forgotten to get lunch, but luckily i saw some stall at the pier selling some food....Da Pao some noodles and went off to apply sunblock and all after yesterday's burns....
anyway another 45 mins of ride while i slept in the boat and soon reached there. while waiting for the boatman to prepare, we waited at some stand...i spotted a green puffer and some shoals of fish....really cool...the water transparency that day was great....

anyway it was high tide now so the boat was "further" apart from the shore, so they dragged it up and there we go again. today the 1st thing i did was to sweep the floor clear of water due to the rain...everyone keep telling me to relax, but when i did i feel like i have nothing to do....lol.then the usual....fed these fishes another time but missed the afternoon session, learnt how to check the water transparency...which was 3.5 m that day and realised they had this other net cage keeping the sick fishes and some fish they caught, like an adult batfish!!! it can fetch quite a price in a marine LFS lar.....got more burns and slept and learnt how to fish after looking at them....really cool my 1st time and i'm already successful....but still noob. the pros cast once, catch 3-4 fishes...this other guy caught 2-3 lobsters while he set up the bait in the lobster traps....anyway then when we were about to leave i quickly removed my final catch, a really small fish and threw it back...it's a really poor fella the hook was so big for it till it ate the hook whole...i had a realy hard time removing it...while i felt croaking movemnts....like it was pleading....sob....in the end got it out but the inner mouth was really injured...
went back on shore and went off wiht another guy to a further toilet, but he said it's better no one there to disturb u....i agree too i rahter bathe alone and the whole toilet was mine, like that during dboat. then he was pointing to the female toilet and say u use this i got he other one.
"huh can meh? ahha" i was completely astonished.
" yar can! no one using anyway" he replied with assurance.
so well...it's not the 1st time i entered "this" kind of place...no one somemore. well actually toilets are all the same...i washed up and as usual too early...i walked about again and looked for some stuff to decorate my tank before heading to the harbour to look at the corals. this time it;s not alot of fishes, but still the usual shoals of fish. i oso noticed a sea urchin...u dun see one in east coast, and u only see the skeletons in pasir ris coast....this one is real and alive! the sea is brimming wiht live and energy!!! i even noticed some corals at the shore area with butterfly fish and other fishes....all these sold at the LFS could be quite ex...heheheh

well went back the usual path and finally got home. tired....

WED

okay today i woke up late coz i was really damm tired....lethargic....pulled myself outta bed and went off, but not in a rush anymore coz i know i'll have to wait....but then i keep thinking that i'm missing something....when i reached there i realised no shampoo and soap! darn i'll guess i'll have to dismantle the hand washsoap box and put it back, like what i did in dboat. then worse, my mp3 player had no batt, and the spare one i brought was...oso dead....i'll guewss i have to sing myself songs...lukcily i grabbed Today to entertain myslef on the ship...

this time the water transparency was 2.0m...pathethic...the sun was damm hot...no rain, nothing to sweep, nothing to do. slacked about and then followed them to change the net cage....basket the ropes so heavy and filled with algae and all sorts of things....i got cut by something and i didint even know i was bleeding until i saw my finger covered wiht blood....funky....they were saying must take care of myself and was warning me about the fire plant that cause one to suffer from icthyness so serious that u cant sleep at nite...whee....anyway went back damm dizzy....ate some snacks and then looked at them prepare the nets....then went out again to secure the inner net to the new cage after dragging the old one back....zzz so basically, whole day under sun, get dizzy, watch them do things, help abit then went back.
i went to fish but then spoilt it after catching 4 fishes...lol crap...so i went to eat my Char Sao rice, which i suddenly realised i was surrounded by malays....i dun want to offend them or whatsoever. luckily most of them were sleeping, the rest playing checkers and fishing, so i quietly sat and ate alone.
then i realised...."there is no spoon"....like omg...so i went to take a disposable one and when i thought of washing i stopped, turned arounf and destroyed the evidence....muahhaha....while waiting i slept again....after that did my chem tutorial.this time i smart i brought things to do, but wiht my constant motion sickness 24/7 esp after i reach home(even NOW) i barely did anything much....1st time i was so stuffy, so dizzy because of staying on sea for too long....but never puke though.....the bloody weather toasted me like a bread in an oven; unevenly brown and crispy....plus no wind and the life vest is making things worst for me.....

anyway went back and noticed the tide didn';t subside that much compared to past 2 days....the usual female toilet, juz that the dismantling the hand soap was a futile attempt....it was METAL....seems ot me like some lock is required to open, so well i squeezed a handful of it and went off to bathe...got out early as usualy and hey i got to wait 2 hrs?!?!? my watch reads 330, but he boat leavees at 530....like wth? so i went to slack around and saw this guy working at that boat playing golf....lol cool....he was hitting it like tiger woods, juz that there;s no hole...well i stared at the water and realised it still wasnt as clear as before....but still okay....then got on board and waited

the sun was still toasting me so i went to change sit, then when pple form ava left this guy sat at my table. he was asking me which poly for attachment, and i said TJC...lol
"JC got attachment? how long?"
"2 weeks ahaha. u?"
"oh so short ar? i 2 months liao still got 3 more....sian..."
then i got to know he's 3rd year in TP and takes dboating as CCA....small world that his cousin is in NY dboating too...cool....then he was complaining that his supervisor see him so fit let him do everything...literally....i was also telling him all the sai kang (shit work) i did, but it was more of voluntarly...coz there;s no other things to do...zzz

went back and realised i wlaked the wrong way back in the changi areial shopping centre AGAIN....lukcily i realised fast enough.... and turned back and headed to my usual route....tired...still suffering from this....dizzy mentality that i'm sitll on sea....everything i see appears...to be rocking up and down...shm.....zzz.....

well y update today? dunno...so many days i feel i should, but for some reason i feel like blogging today....i think readers will think i'm like...dots to update about this thing but...well it's my passion....my sole purpose...so anyway WARNING EXTREMELY SILLY CONTENT ...READ AT UR OWN RISK OF WASTING UR PRECIOUS TIME....

it was a few days ago when i decided to sell my clown knifefish in the forums...not many viewers but soon ple want my firned's gar....day by day i get kinda desperate to clear it for space. plus my family dun really like it....okay not family, but my maid who ends up being the one cleaning the tank complaining the 1.5 feet fish nearly biting her ....i agree as it kinda wanted to eat my fingers too when i cleaned...but after awhile i believe it understood....afterall i've kept it for 3 + years....from a mere 4" to now a 1.5 feet....that's really cool....it's like keeping something from the moment it was a juvinle and look at it grow and mature day by day. anyway my bro seems to hate every fish i buy...he only supports me buying the gar....well i dun really mind him commenting that they're gonna die or wad...i'll juz try my best to make them a happy fish.....sometimes i fail but at least i know i tied.....

then today this guy called me and wanted to collect the fish....well for his empty tank....before that i fed it some feeder platy but they had fish louse....turns out my clown knife suffered....and i had no chance of removing it as it really is a kan chiong spider...juz touching it will make it jump outta the tank....so there's a heavy lid for it...

me and my bro had a hard time catching it...remind me when me and my dad tried moving it to a larger tank....splashing everywhere....anyway sold for $20....made a huge loss...monetary wise and well....maybe mentally? ahhah i rarely had such feelings for animals....when some of my fish die i juz let them be...it's my incompetence that caused my failure to keep it....but when u kept it for so long..u kinda establish a link with it....even though it's kinda rubbish and all to talk my fish to calm it down....

the 1st time i bought it coz i think it looked kinda cool...i always like unique fishes....saved it from a lfs in the market and i found out the toehr fishes in the tank might attempt to kill it...so i fed it in the plastic bag in the tank....cute little fella...but as i feed day by day i didn't really realise it grew so quickly to be able to released to my tank...or maybe coz the otehr fishes were wiped out by my incomeptence....i was young and noobish then....with more than enough space, food and all it grew very quickly readhing 12" plus wihtin 1/2 year? hahah not sure....but when that tank was too small for it i shift it up to the 3 ft tank....slowly i fed it from small mollies to large mollies....i use to catch some long kang fish for it....now long kang sealed....

well from the moment it went to teh 2nd floor i soon neglected it....plus i couldn't relaly find time for it as i was sec 3-4....thankfully it's hardy and could survive for 2 weeks without food...and water conditions like a swamp...algae and moss overgrowth....everywhere flooded wiht snails having thier buffet.....soon another tpe of snail appeared too...ahah....

this guy recovers really fast....whenever he got scarred by the rocks or driftwood, the next day it healed...like magic....i wanted to find it another companion but well....dun get to see it as often taht time and my bro and maid objected....hiaz i dunno probably coz it killed too many innocent fishes so it deserves this....it even killed my spiny eel....juz becoz to accomodate one luo han...these lousy fishes are damm irritating.... so many fishes sacrificed...hahah every week $2....few weeks ago i managed to get a FOC 10" royal knifefish, but turns up the boss doesn't liek it and even tried attacking it...poor fella...my incompetence together with the state it alreadt was in....skinny and all...it didn't want any fish at all...died after 3-4 days....sad case...so my clown remains lonesome.....juz like me...

well when i decided to give it up for a cleaner, all new tank....i kinda miss it....after all it's something that made me put in so much effort and time on it...i didn;t take any pics of it....wanted to but water too murky or the glass reflected...but nvm it's image is already in my mind...when one loses something then will one know how to cherish it..........hope the new owner take good care of it

anyway now after my noob and dissapointing results, i have been slakcing ....like mad...tv, com, listening to 11月的萧邦, lfs hunting....playing doom3 and dota daily....sometimes pw....but that's it....maybe its time to do something....coz i got my attachment at st. john island....then plus baka matsuri...sian....well its how well i handle my things...make space for other stuff....that's all folks....
